Metro exodus skip intro3/28/2023 This seems like it’s only available for AMD GPU’s from what I’ve seen. This setting is like a Render Scale option but ONLY alters the shading rate not the Resolution. This setting I recommend should be set to 1.0x. For my personal preference I set mine to 15 Bars (MAX). If you like your character’s eyes being zoomed in or you suffer from Motion Sickness do what you will with this setting. Though I recommend this setting should be set to Max Field of View. For my personal preference I set mine to Off. To be honest you will only notice a downgrade to Visual Quality when looking at walls up close but it’s not immersion breaking. This setting just gives the world more depth like brick walls would have indentations in between each brick and etc. This setting hurts performance the most and can alter the terrain and walls drastically. This setting I recommend should be set to Off. For my personal preference I set mine to On. There is no noticeable hurt to performance or Visual Quality with it Off or On. This setting I recommend should be set to On. However it’s not worth keeping Hairworks On in terms of performance and Visual Quality. But you will also notice a minor hurt to Visual Quality in terms of Hair. You can notice an improvement in performance with Hairworks set to Off. For my personal preference I set mine to 2X. Though I do see a minor increase to performance by like 2-5% when using VRS on 2X or 4X. I have tried each setting and don’t really notice any Visual Quality improvements or vice versa. This setting allows the game to recognize what is more important to render in full detail in a scene. This setting I recommend should bet set to 2X or 4X. For my personal preference I set mine to Raytraced. As this doesn’t hurt the overall Visual Quality as much as RayTraced Lighting does. If you don’t care for Raytraced Reflections as much you can set this to Hybrid. I’ve tested the Hybrid setting and it seems to do a mix of Ray Traced Reflections and Screen Space Reflections. This setting I recommend should be set to Raytraced for the full experience of Ray Tracing. For my personal preference I set mine to Quality. But this setting is where you will see a huge increase in performance. If you’re on 4K the Performance Option or Quality option is for you. If you’re on 1080p or 1440p I recommend the Quality option. Whether you’re on 1080p, 1440p, 4K or even 8K. This setting is personal preference but I highly recommend you utilize it. For my personal preference I set mine to Ultra. I’ve tried the other settings and haven’t noticed a huge downgrade to Visual Quality but we’re here for the Ultra standard not the High Standard. This setting I recommend should be set to Ultra for the full experience of Ray Tracing. For my personal preference I set mine to OFF. I recommend this should be set to Off there is a 1% performance hit when using Motion Blur. It should be tuned so the image to the left is barely visible. For my personal preference I set mine to Full. If you set Vysync to Off you will have an Unlocked Framerate. If you set Vsync to half your framerate will be half of your Monitor’s Native Refresh Rate. If you want to reduce screen tearing and cap your Framerate to your Monitor’s Native Refresh Rate then set Vsync to Full. There is conflicting reports of people hurting in performance or not at all. And setting this any lower than Ultra you will notice changes in Visual Quality. Setting this to Extreme can hurt performance without a very noticeable increase to Visual Quality. This setting I recommend should be set to Ultra. For my personal preference I set mine to 16:9. There seems to be a issue with other players having their Resolution changed against their will and it seems to be due to having their Aspect Ratio on Auto. This setting should be set to your Monitor’s Native Aspect Ratio that matches with your Native Resolution. For my personal preference I set mine to 1920×1080. This setting can be whatever you prefer but I recommend you set this to your Monitor’s Native Resolution or whatever your Graphics Card can handle.
